It is a creamy soup, with the richness of butter and very smooth to have with addition of cream, with seasonings over it.

Almond Soup

Recipe for Almond Soup


(1) Almonds (blanched) - 50 grams
(2) Butter- 2 tablespoons
(3) Flour- 4 tablespoons
(4) Water- 4 cups
(5) Milk- 120 grams
(6) Salt to taste
(7) Black pepper a pinch
(8) Cream- 4 tablespoons


(1) Chop half the almonds fine and blend the rest with the milk in a blender.

(2) Heat butter and sauté the chopped almonds till lightly fried.

(3) Add flour and sauté till lightly fried. Add water gradually stirring all the time till no lumps remain, then bring to a boil.

(4) Add milk mixture along with salt and pepper and bring to a boil, and then simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Your Almond soup is ready to be served!
