Gyros Salad with Tzatziki Dressing


Recipe for Gyros Salad

Ingredients

For Dressing:

(1) Cucumber (shredded) - 1
(2) Salt as required
(3) Cream- ½ cup
(4) Plain yogurt- ¾ cup
(5) Vinegar- 2 tablespoons
(6) Garlic (minced) - 1
(7) Black pepper (cracked) - ¼ teaspoon

For Salad:

(1) Ground lamb or ground beef- 200 grams
(2) Onion (chopped) - 1
(3) Oregano leaves- 1 teaspoon
(4) Romaine salad blend- 300 grams
(5) Tomatoes (chopped) - 2
(6) Crumbled feta cheese- 120 grams
(7) Greek olives, drained- ½ cup
(8) Toasted bread wedges

Method

(1) In a bowl, add cucumber with salt, then mix well and let stand for few minutes.

(2) Drain then stir in remaining dressing ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for sometimes.

(3) Heat a wok, cook lamb, onion and Greek seasoning until meat is no longer pink then drain it.

(4) Arrange salad blend on a large serving platter top with tomatoes,
cheese, olives and lamb or as you like to decorate.

(5) Spoon dressing over salad.

(6) Serve immediately with toasted bread wedges.

Sushi Rice

This is the most common recipe in China and well as in Japan.

Recipe for Sushi Rice

Ingredients

(1) Sushi rice- 2 cups
(2) Water- 2 cups
(3) Vinegar- 2 tablespoons
(4) Salt as required
(5) Sugar- 2 tablespoons

Method

(1) In a bowl add rice and pour cold water over it and keep it, stir nicely and then pour off the water, repeat this step again.

(2) Heat the saucepan, add rice and 2 cups of water and then bring it to boil, then reduce the heat and cook for 10 minutes, then remove it from heat and keep aside for 10 minutes.

(3) Take a small bowl, add vinegar, salt and sugar mix them nicely and heat them in microwave oven for just 30 seconds.

(4) Then transfer the rice in bowl, then add vinegar mixture in it, then allow it to cool in room temperature.

Sushi rice is ready, now you can make Sushi, Sashimi or anything you like.

Chilli Chicken

This is the most popular multi-cuisine recipe which includes 
Indonesian, Chinese and Indian Cuisines; it has dry and gravy
variants which can be made without much difference.

Recipe for Chilli Chicken

Ingredients

(1) Boneless chicken (diced) - 600 grams
(2) Ginger (chopped) - ¼ teaspoon
(3) Egg White- 2 cups
(4) Salt to taste
(5) Corn Flour- 1 ½ teaspoons + 2 teaspoons for Sauce
(6) Chilli Sauce- 2 teaspoons
(7) Butter Milk- ¾ cup or as required
(8) Tomato Sauce- 3 tablespoons
(9) Oil- 5 tablespoons
(10) Soy Sauce- 1 ½ tablespoons
(11) Vinegar- 1 ½ tablespoons
(12) Chicken Stock- 2 tablespoons
(13) Water- 2 tablespoons
(14) Capsicum (sliced) - 1 large
(15) Onions (sliced) - 2 large
(16) Chillies- 4
(17) Garlic (chopped) - 4 cloves

Method

(1) In a bowl, add chicken, salt and ginger and marinate for 15 minutes. On the other side beat the egg white and 1 ½ tablespoons corn flour and then coat the chicken pieces with this mixture.

(2) Now to prepare sauce, in a pan add chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce, vinegar and chicken stock, make a paste of water and corn flour and then cook the sauce in medium heat and when it starts to boil, add the corn flour mixture in it and mix nicely till gets thickened and then remove it from heat.

(3) Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken till gets golden brown in colour then keep it aside.

(4) Then heat oil in pan and sauté the onions, chillies and capsicum for 5 minutes and then add the sauce in pan and then add the fried chicken and cook until the sauce gets desired consistency.

Chilli Chicken is ready to be served, garnish it with coriander leaves.

Chinese Fried Rice


It is the basic fried rice and can be accompanied by various dishes.

Recipe for Fried Rice


Ingredients

(1) Cooked Rice - 4 cups
(2) Carrot - 1
(3) Green Onions- 2
(4) Oil- 2 tablespoons
(5) Salt and pepper to taste
(6) Soy Sauce- 2 tablespoons

Method

(1) Chop the carrot and green onions nicely and keep aside.

(2) Heat oil in wok, then add onion, carrot, salt and pepper and then sauté it nicely.

(3) Then add cooked rice in it and mix well and cook for few minutes.

(4) Then add soy sauce in it and mix it well, cook until it gets desired colour and gets aromatic.

Fried Rice is ready to be served; it can be accompanied by Szechuan Chicken or Kung Pao Chicken.

Szechuan Chicken


It is originated from Sichuan province, well great thing is the spicy
chicken dish stir fried with green onions.

Recipe for Szechuan Chicken


Ingredients

(1) Chicken (boneless) - 300 grams
(2) Corn-starch- 3 tablespoons
(3) Garlic- 4 cloves
(4) Oil- 1 tablespoon
(5) Soy sauce- 5 tablespoons
(6) Vinegar- 2 tablespoons
(7) Water- ¼ cup
(8) Sugar- 1 teaspoon
(9) Oil- 2 ½ tablespoons
(10) Green Onions (sliced) - 3
(11) Cayenne Pepper as required
(12) Salt as required

Method

(1) In a bowl, add chicken pieces and corn-starch and mix nicely to coat, then heat oil in wok and add garlic and chicken and sauté it till gets golden brown, then add soy sauce, salt, vinegar, water and sugar.

(2) Mix them nicely and then cover the wok and cook it till chicken gets cooked properly for 5-8 minutes.

(3) Then add green onions and cayenne pepper and cook it for 2-3 minutes.

Szechuan Chicken is ready, serve hot with rice!

Beef Fried Noodles


One of the most popular recipe in Chinese Cuisine, it has a great spicy taste you can expect from this juicy beef noodles.

Recipe for Beef Fried Noodles

Ingredients

(1) Steak/Beef (sliced nicely) - 400 grams
(2) Ginger (chopped) - 1 tablespoon
(3) Corn-starch (dissolved in water) - 2 tablespoons
(4) Chicken broth- 1 cup
(5) Sesame oil- 2 tablespoons
(6) Pepper Flakes- ½ teaspoon
(7) Soy Sauce- ¼ cup
(9) Onions (sliced) - 1
(10) Chopped Garlic- 1 tablespoon
(12) Carrots (julienne) - 1 large
(13) Salt to taste
(14) Noodles (boiled) - 300 grams

 Method

(1) In a wok, heat half sesame oil and then sauté the beef with half garlic and half ginger for 5 minutes and then transfer it to a dish.

(2) In that wok, heat the remaining oil then sauté the remaining garlic and ginger, pepper flakes, onion and carrot slices for 5 minutes

(3) Then take a bowl, add corn-starch, soy sauce and chicken broth mix nicely and then cook it for 2 minutes.

(4) Then in wok, add the sauce mixture, boiled noodles and the beef mixture and then cook it nicely for few minutes.

Serve it hot and enjoy!

Kung Pao Chicken


It is also known as Gong Bao Chicken is a spicy fried dish made with chicken, peanuts, chillies and some vegetables.

Recipe for Kung Pao Chicken

Ingredients

(1) Chicken (boneless) - 450 grams
(2) White Wine- 2 tablespoons
(3) Cornstarch (dissolved in water) - 2 tablespoons
(4) Soy Sauce- 2 tablespoons
(5) Sesame oil- 2 tablespoons
(6) Chilli paste- 30 grams
(7) Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
(8) Brown Sugar- 2 teaspoons
(9) Green Onions (chopped) - 4
(10) Chopped Garlic- 1 tablespoon
(11) Peanuts- 100 grams
(12) Carrots (julienne) - 1 large
(13) Salt to taste

Method

(1) First we have to make the marinade, for that we have to add half wine, half soy sauce, half oil, salt as required and half cornstarch in a large bowl and mix together nicely.

(2) In a plate place the chicken pieces and then coat the marinade in chicken pieces and then keep it covered in refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes.

(3) Now we have to make sauce for that we have to add remaining wine, soy sauce, oil, salt as required cornstarch  little water, chilli paste, vinegar and sugar in a bowl and mix nicely together, then add green onions, carrot julienne, garlic and peanuts. Heat the sauce and cook it in low heat till it gets the aroma of sauce.

(4) Now take out the chicken from the fridge after 30 minutes and sauté it in a wok until chicken gets cooked and its juices run clear, then add the sauce in the chicken and cook it till salt gets thicker.

Your Kung Pao Chicken is ready, serve it hot with rice!

Spinach and Chickpea Soup

This Soup is good for children for their better growth.



Recipe for Spinach and Chickpea Soup

Ingredients

(1) Garlic (chopped)- 2 cloves
(2) Spinach (chopped)- 2 bunches
(3) Chickpeas (cooked)- 2 cups
(4) Salt to taste
(5) Oil- 1 tablespoon
(6) Cumin powder- ½ teaspoon
(7) Vegetable stock- 2 cups
(8) Onion (sliced)- 1 medium

Method

(1) Heat oil in pan, add onion and cook for few minutes, then add crushed garlics cloves and cook for half minutes.

(2) Add spinach, salt, cumin powder and chickpeas and cook for 2 minutes

(3) Then add 1 cup Vegetable stock and cook for 2 minutes then strain it. Then cool it and add rest of Vegetable stock and grind in a mixer grinder.

(4) Then pour the mixture in a pan and boil it.

Your Soup is ready! Garnish it with Cream.

Sichuan Rice

Spicy Rice and can be accompanied by most variants.



Recipe for Sichuan Rice

Ingredients

(1) Cooked Rice- 2 cups
(2) Dried red chilies- 2
(3) Oil- 2 teaspoon
(4) Vinegar- 2 tablespoon
(5) Salt to taste
(6) Garlic (chopped)- 4-5 cloves
(7) Onion (chopped)-1 medium
(8) Chili powder- 1 teaspoon
(9) Cabbage (grated)- ¼
(10) Carrot (grated)- 1


Method

(1) In a bowl put red chilies in vinegar and keep it for an hour and then strain it and keep the flavored vinegar.

(2) Heat the oil in a wok. Add the garlic, onion, crushed red chilies, drained red chilies  cabbage and carrot and sauté, on medium heat, for 6 minutes.

(3) Then add rice, flavored vinegar and salt and mix it well.

Sichuan Rice is ready, you can eat with Chili Chicken or any other dishes.

Maggie Chow Mein Style

Friends, well this is the different way of making Maggie in different style and that is Chow Mein style. Believe it or not it tastes better than the original Maggie cooking style.

Recipe for Chow Mein Maggie


Ingredients


(1) Maggie noodles pack- 150 grams
(2) Onion- 
(3) Chillies- 2-3 
(4) Capsicum- 1 
(5) Carrot (diced)- 50 grams
(6) Garlic- 2-3 
(7) Oil- 1 tablespoon
(8) Tomato sauce- 1 cup
(9) Salt to taste


Method

(1) First boil the water in the bowl and add noodles into it and stir slowly for 2 minutes till noodles get softened and then strain it and keep aside.


(2) Now heat the pan and add oil, then add diced onion, garlic and chilli and fry for few minutes till gets brown after that add capsicum and carrot diced and cook for more few minutes till gets cooked and then add salt.


(3) Then add the Maggie masala which is there inside Maggie packet and tomato sauce and cook it for 2 minutes.


(4) Then add the boiled noodles and mix it nicely and cook for 2 minutes.

Make Yang Rou Chuan at home

Yang Rou Chuan (Chinese Lamb Kebab) is one of the famous dish in Chinese Cuisine related to Western Chinese-Muslim culture. This dish is cooked on barbecue so you need barbecue for it. So here we go through the recipe of it

Recipe for Yang Rou Chuan

Ingredients


(1) Lamb steaks (diced)- 500 grams
(2) Cayenne pepper- 2 teaspoon
(3) Cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
(4) Sea salt- ½ teaspoon
(5) Black pepper- ½ teaspoon
(6) Roasted Sesame seeds- 2 teaspoon
(7) Vegetable oil- 3 tablespoon

Method


(1) Dice the lamb steaks about 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm.


(2) Mix all the spices in one big bowl and then add the diced lamb steaks and marinate for 4-5 hours in fridge.


(3) Preheat your grill, no matter if it’s electric or charcoal barbecue  Then place the kebab racks over the barbecue and cook it depending on the time you want to roast as vary from different types of grills.


(4) Do not overcook, it will become dry. Keep the meat moist by brushing oil over it from time to time and it will get brown texture.


(5) Your Yang Rou Chuan is ready, You can add various seasonings to it and serve with any sauces or beverages.
