This is very nutritious due to green leafy vegetable and is good for the cure for certain diseases.


Recipe for Haaq


(1) Haaq- 2 kilograms
(2) Hing/Asafoetida- 5 grams
(3) Salt to taste
(4) Mustard Oil- 75 ml
(5) Soda- 10 grams
(6) Red Chilies- 4 pieces
(7) Refined Oil- 50 ml


(1) Wash the Haaq and remove its stems and boil in water plus add salt, red chilies and refined oil in it. When water starts boiling, add cooking soda and washed Haaq leaves and boil for 30 seconds.

(2) Remove the Haaq and put it in a  dish and pour heated mustard oil over it.

Your Haaq is ready to be served.
