This is delicious food made from paneer and tomato puree and is best for those who likes spicy and sour.
Recipe for Tomato Chaaman
Ingredients
(1) Paneer- 1 kilograms
(2) Mustard Oil- 100 ml
(3) Cardamom- 8 grams
(4) Kashmiri Chili powder- 25 grams
(5) Bay leaves- 3 pieces
(6) Hing/Asafoetida- 5 grams
(7) Tomato Puree- 500 grams
(8) Cumin powder- 20 grams
(9) Turmeric powder- half teaspoon
(10) Refined Oil- 100 ml
(11) Garam Masala- 15 grams
(12) Salt to taste
Method
(1) Cut the paneer in 2 inch square shape and deep fry them in refined oil.
(2) In a Khadai, heat mustard oil and add whole spices, then add tomato puree and salt, keep stirring, then add cumin and turmeric powder and stir.
(3) When the gravy starts to boil, add the paneer pieces in it and simmer it it gravy gets thick, then add garam masala and stir it for few minutes.
You're done with your recipe, now garnish it with ginger julienne (optional). Serve it hot.
